the same water makes use of the pinhole camera to capture a dreamscape. I waded into Trinidad’s waters, the same water that swirls around Guyana’s shores, and tried to re-imbricate myself into the environment by washing salt from my veins (paying homage to a pan-Caribbean myth that states salt weighs the blood down, a nod to self-sabotage). The performance was a purification ritual that resituated my body and spirit closer to my original source of connection.
